Reading Oracle and Tarot Cards

 

  • In a one card reading, a single card is drawn from an oracle or tarot deck that you have intuitively selected. A one card reading can give you a quick answer to a question, especially when you desperately need one. But a one card reading is really more than that. A one card reading also allows you to look deeper and further into the invisible powers underpinning your life.

    After you have drawn the card, hold it in your hands, let your eyes caress its features and absorb all the details of the card images. What is it telling you? What are you feeling?

    When you are ready, read the message that corresponds with the card in the guidebook, and meditate with that message for a time, tuning into the universe for guidance. Unlike the one card reading, where you are invited to study and meditate with one card or subject, the 3 card reading tells a story. Here you look for the relationship between the cards. What are the cards telling you?

  • Spreads with more than 5 cards, like many of the ones in this chapter, are more detailed and complex, but very efficient. Drawing cards from different decks will obtain the most inspiring answers here, because each deck has its own character and vibe. This makes the reading fun as well as extraordinarily informative.
